Our annual hunters’ dinner always proves to be a popular event, and this year was no exception. Chief cook Elda Morettin and helpers did their magic to come up with a deliciously savoury stew, accompanied by polenta and cabbage salad, for the capacity crowd that hungrily awaited. The raffle that followed provided an opportunity to win a large number of really great prizes. Of course, coffee and dessert was the final touch to this great meal. We wish to thank the many volunteers who devoted so much time and effort in the preparation, cooking, serving and cleaning. A note of gratitude to Debbie, Sarah and Lauren Daldoss, and Elsa Bertolini for doing a fine job handling the very successful raffle, as well as all the generous sponsors who provided the gifts. Thanks also to Sandro Cologna for providing the meat, to our fine bartender, Joseph, and of course to Elda & Franco Morettin for the preparation and cooking of the meat, and the ladies who provided the sweets.
